Hertha Berlin get a good thrashing from Benefica

Two goals by the Paraguauan forward Cardozo pushed Benfica to a 4-0 win over Hertha Berlin on Tuesday – they hereby clinch a place in the last 16 of the Europa Cup.

Benfica got its first goal when the Argentine Saviola passed to his fellow compatriot Aimar in the 25th minute and he duly passed the Berlin keeper Jaroslav Drobny with a great through ball.

Hertha Berlin – presently the Bundesliga’s bottom club – did not even manage to get a consolation goal and ended the two game fixture with a miserable 5-1 aggregate loss.
