Riff-raff trouble makers , so-called Hertha Berlin ‘fans’, some armed with steel bars, stormed the Olympic stadium field after their latest defeat in the Bundeliga this Saturday – as if  the rock-bottom team nearing relegation – did not have enough problems on its plate!

Players and coaches had to flee into the changing rooms as police chased the hooligans back into the stands  after the loss to Nuremburg means they now have only 15 points from 26 matches.

Compared to the last season when Hertha narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification this season has been a vertible night-mare.

 

In another Bundesliga game, Arjen Robben the Dutch international, came to  rescue his team Bayern for the second time in just 4 days – they are now top of the Bundesliga.

After putting the Bavarians into the last eight of the Champions League with   a stunning 27m brilliant goal against Fiorentina on Tuesday, his 2 goals against strugglers Freiburg have ensured that Bayern [who had to come from behind]  could get a full 3 points.
