With 60 live Berlin stage venues opening its doors from 19.00 until 01.00 the next morning, this years ‘ Lange Nacht der Opern und Theater’ /Long Night of Opera and Theatre in Berlin, promises to be as exciting as the idea itself.
There will be circa 200 live productions in various genres of opera and concert, dance and theater, songs and pop songs, literature and cabaret, puppets and youth theater, improvised theater and even acrobatics!
In short – something for everyone!
For even the most knowledgeable theatre and opera-goers with this event one can expect something new and experimental – for example ‘an underwater opera’!
For those who want not only to watch but also participate, the opportunity presents itself at the improv- theatres, whether as a criminologist or the NEUKÖLLN PARADE.
Let yourself be carried by the actors that night! They all take to heart Schiller’s motto: “Man is most completely human when he plays …”. : „Der Mensch ist da ganz Mensch, wo er spielt…“.
Most of the activities will be cantered around the ‘Volksbuhne’ Theatre on Rosa-Luxembourg-Platz between 20.00 and 22.00 hrs. with an open-air theatre program and several contests where you can win attractive prizes.
The moderator will Harald Pignatelli, best known to television viewers by rbb “Zipper”, the magazine of the Boulevard.
