The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, start tonite in Warsaw Poland !
Johan Cruyff, Dutch former football star and now somewhat of a football guru has said that there are no favorites but some very strong teams – and I have to agree with him.
There will be many great players in this tournament – my favorite is Mesut Ozil of Germany who has a great intelligent feel for the game and whose has great intuition – which is so important and so under-rated amongst players.
Dutch Orange-teenier Jetro Willems at could be the youngest footballer ever in a European Championship finals. Willems has only one season in the Dutch First/Eredivisie behind him- and still is the only left-back in the team of Coach Bert van Marwijk. Willems has speed and loves to play upfront to help the attackers – but loves most to stop any kind of mischief which Dutch opponents may be planning in and around the Dutch goal area.
The best newspaper in Germany, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung has a great report on the 18 year old Dutch defender Jethro Willems.

Well my prediction is dumb and probably will be far off the mark but I predict a Holland – Poland final – with Holland winning.

The final tournament features 16 nations, and the qualifications were contested by 51 nations between August 2010 and November 2011- and 16 joined the two host nations in the tournament to form the present 16 teams.
