Dear Friends of the Piano Salon Christophori
In the next week I invite you to two concerts – though with a marginal difference – both with glorious international career musicians.
This coming Friday at 20:30hrs, Kotaro Fukuma one of the most renowned young Japanese pianists of the present day, and also the most ‘European’ in his musical outlook the Japanese pianist Kotaro Fukuma will play in honor of the 200th Birthday of Franz Liszt.
Kotaro last gave a benefit concert on the occasion of the Japanese disaster in March 2011.
His playing has both a sophisticated style and this combines brilliantly with an almost southern European type of fire and intensity – you must hear him to really understand this last sentence.
Due to a very good recording contract with a major international concert agency, there are unfortunately still very rare concerts like this to be had with Kotaro – so even more of a reason to attend this one!
The program consists entirely of Oberman Liszt works, including the incomparably romantic and Vallee d’his greatest piano work, the B minor Sonata. http://www.kotarofukuma.com/
This coming Saturday, 08.10.2011 at 20.30 Julien Quentin will continue his series with the Chamber group ‘ Musica Litoralis’, in which he brings chamber music with musicians of international standing to be heard.
Julien is among the active chamber music pianist, one of the most important, its importance is illustrated simply by the violinists with about 45 concert will be accompanied by Stradivari capable received 25 pairings as fixed by him. No other pianist does das.
Julien is charming, both personally and musically and has great humility – and his friends have succeeded to persuade many that he belongs to some the best musicians in the world.
Now he presents Névéol Mathieu, one of the most important young French violinists.
The two play a late-romantic program exclusively with works by Saint-Saens, one of the rare chances of getting a great violinist and a pianist with a great rarely heard wonderful program at close hand. This concert is a must for the music enthusiasts !
As usual you can reserve seats at http://www.konzertfluegel.com/N_konzerte.html and to cancel them by entering a minus sign before the number of places when you re-entry your request . There is ample parking directly in front of the salon on the premises of the bank buildings. The entrance is wheel-chair accessible.
Very warm regards – Christoph Schreiber
