Currently at C/O Berlin in Mitte - a former Berlin Post Office -there is a fantastic exhibition by Fred Herzog, a German-born Canadian photographerwho shot in colour in the 50′s and 60′s mainly along the streets of  east-side Vancouver.

Als Berliner ist schon einige Jahre eine Besonderheit zu Weihnachten Schnee zu haben, vor allem wird den Kindern immer noch viel von weisser Weihnacht erzählt.

Dieses Jahr gab es schon sehr lange Schnee, doch an Heiligabend war es morgens auf einmal sehr warm, die Fußgängerwege waren frei und der restliche Schnee war grau statt weiß.

EU Germany + France have jointly vetoed EU Romania + Bulgaria from Schengen – for the time being

EU Germany and France have jointly vetoed EU Romania & Bulgaria from joining the Schengen – Europe’s border and visa free area – next year. 

The governments of both France & Germany have let it been know that both Bulgaria and Romania do not yet meet requirements for the borderless  visa-free travel zone in the EU because both needed to do more to tackle corruption.
