The Hertha Berlin football club have banned 23 so-called Hertha “fans” for 3 years after some childish and disturbing scenes at the Berlin Olympic Stadion at the end of the 2-1 defeat last weekend.

Hertha, with probably the worst, if not the ‘wurst’ team record in the Bundesliga face an ominous future – they will be relegated to the 2^nd division without having the means to operate there.

Nearly 100 ‘ idiot-losers’  entered the field  after the final whistle chasing the players and officials of both teams from  the field.

Twenty-three of the ‘ idiot-losers’ were  identified from film footage and have been informed personally by the club that they will be banned from all football games in entire Germany until at least mid 2013.

The miscreants will also have to face prosecution from the police because of their threatening and disorderly behaviour and will have to pay for the damage caused by their pitch invasion.

Many real fans from Hertha Berlin often stay at OTA-Berlin apartments in Berlin Mitte during their weekend games coming from all over Germany and sometimes even further afield – and these people never present a problem.

We hope Hertha Berlin can overcome its relegation problems -we sincerely wish them well. 

We love Berlin and we love football - Berlin needs a world class soccer team!!!!

Perhaps time they hire a few Dutch player – hey it works for Hamburg and Bayern!
