OTA-Berlin knows the Schönhauser Allee very well – we started our business almost 10 years ago at Schönhauser Allee where our present German Composers Building is situated. http://www.ota-berlin.de/english/location/schonhauser_allee_apartments
At the time when we started the Serviced Apartment business in this part of Berlin, we were the first to offer this intriguing alternative to the usual hotel selection of local and multi-national companies in [...] Continue Reading…

How Not to Get into Berghain Club Berlin – A Guide of 10 Tips
Every time a Berghain bouncer sees you, he adds up how many “Berlin cool points” you possess. Ripped tights? +2. Never seen you before? -2. You are acting drunk? -3. You are acting like you don’t care if you get in? +1. Essentially using this system, even the famously arbitrary [...] Continue Reading…

Continue Reading…

Single in Berlin? 5 of the Best Places to get Sexy in the City
Looking for a new “Liebchen?” One can meet or not meet a new romance anywhere, but there are certain places that encourage amorous endeavors. Germans are notoriously shy – at night they need to drink before they will oh-so-Germanly approach you – so any setting that relaxes them is [...] Continue Reading…

A Review of Chalet – Berlin’s New Kreuzberg Nightclub
If heaven were a place on Earth, for hipsters that heaven might just bear the name of Chalet. The club, which was created by the owners of the former Bar 25 and the current KaterHolzig, opened earlier this month during Berlin Fashion Week with a 4 [...] Continue Reading…

In the late 19th century, Berlin turned from a courtly seat of an upstart principality into a bustling and modern city – Berlin was nothing short of boomtown in the later part of the 19th century. It was the court of the Hohenzollern family that dominated the city in the 1880s and the era was also referred to as “Wilhelmine Berlin”.
Berlin neighbourhoods [...] Continue Reading…

Continue Reading…

The planned and much discussed 2013 Germany / Switzerland tax treaty could still be scuppered before it takes effect next year.
This treaty, which is still scheduled to come into effect on January 1st, would in effect force Swiss banks to automatically deduct German taxes from the accounts of its German customers who have conveniently parked their money there in the past specifically [...] Continue Reading…

Continue Reading…
