The old West side of Berlin, which was the most celebrated attraction of the city not long ago, has lost importance among the younger audience.
The Kurfürstendamm, or ku’damm as it is called, has approximately four kilometers long and still houses many shops of famous brands, interesting restaurants, a plethora of bars and cafes, cinemas, theatres, a shopping mall-the Europe Center, several magazines [...] Continue Reading…

The picture above shows the 17 meter-high steel monument by night – illuminated by internal neon lights along its wavy silhouette on the corner of the Wilhelmstraße and the ‘An der Kolonnade’ in Berlin-Mitte. It stands proudly, defiantly and fittingly right in front of the old Hitlerite ‘Neue Reichskanzle’.
The official inauguration of this timely monument took place 2 weeks ago on [...] Continue Reading…

If Berlin was already a curious city before the fall of the wall and the reunification of the two Germanys, today it is undoubtedly one of the most interesting capitals to visit. Despite its history, Berlin is gaining a new face.
The old solid forms are getting, gradually, shades of modernity and transparency – a lot of transparency. The new architecture of the [...] Continue Reading…
