The German national football team won their 3rd qualifier in their 2014 World Cup European group match in Dublin against Ireland this last Friday.

Hamburg got its very first season win and it was a glorious affair – for Hamburg fans in any case and they have not had much to cheer about recently.

The runners-up team of last season’s Champions League – who lost on the slimmest of margins to Chelsea – the German team Bayern München won their opening fixture 2-1 over Valencia at their Allianz Arena.
