Wismar-Berlin wie im Fluge von Theo van Couveren

Um an die schöne Ostseemetropole zu kommen bedarf es wenig fahrplantechnisches Geschick zumindest wenn man versucht mit einem Quer-durch-Deutschland Ticket nach Wismar zu kommen. Da die meisten Züge von Berlin Hauptbahnhof fahren, findet man nicht auf Anhieb die Direktverbindung zwischen Berlin und Wismar. Das liegt offensichtlich daran, das morgens der RE 2 ab Gesundbrunnen und Abends über Hauptbahnhof fährt.

‘Petra’ – the storm – ‘visits’ Berlin + Germany

Germany’s sophisticated, well thought-out infrastructure – its complex road and traffic system were thrown into a complete state of flux yesterday by the heavy snow accompanied by wind which was brought by blizzard ‘Petra’.

About 100 flights were cancelled from and into Berlin’s two major airports Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenefeld/BBI.
