"....I filled in a survey this morning having been prompted to do so by
an e-mail but want to just make sure you know how much we appreciated
your service.
Our apartment was ideal and having your office in the same block made
the whole arrival/departure experience so slick and efficient!
Meeting your Boss was of course a true joy and as I said in the survey,
he is a Prince among Men - he was leaving to do his hospital visits and
other charitable works as we arrived....of COURSE we believed
him!!!!!!!!
Our visit was a pleasure from beginning to end....should I complain
about the lack of snow? Please try to arrange a light flurry next time
to complete the picture! We went to Spandau to see the Xmas market
there on a recommendation of a colleague and just enjoyed
being in Berlin....our last visit was 1974 so you can imagine it was a
totally different experience this time....it's a lovely city and all the
better for being joined together although no doubt it's not always been
plain sailing....we found Checkpoint Charlie very moving...especially
since it was functioning all too efficiently when we were last there....
Thank you again - our apartment was delightful, clean and cosy. We
loved the Pizza place across the road and the big Pizza place up the
road - up some steps and an enormous place which was still buzzing at
midnight and beyond when we were there!
